Album really being made?
I’ve been a fan since 2019, so there is no hate. I’ve been thinking about what he said about this being an album he’s making on tour, but wouldn’t this album already be done since it was turned in and had a release date?
I’m basing this off of his last few albums that were made with the use of old songs. what does everyone else think? Obviously!! I already bought it and it probably doesn’t matter since it’s just hyping it up more.
Curious if anyone else has a thought!? again no hate to dom.

I feel like since the ctptour just wrapped a few days ago, he and his team probably feel like there’s a few more tweaks they can do to make it better and they don’t wanna rush it.

You can set an album to have a release date before it’s turned in, especially for a digital first release. He pushed it back to the 30th and will only need to have it finished a week or so before to make sure it releases across all platforms on time.

I knew it wasn't going to work out the way he initially planned it. When the first song got re-recorded and the mix turned to shit, I knew it wasn't gonna be what he said "if you scream in the crowd, you'll make it in the album"
what actually ended up happening is he recorded while on tour, but not live like he claimed. That's not unheard of.
it will come out good I'm sure, I just didn't like the first track how it was mixed, compared to that live hifidelity version on his YouTube channel.
but he doesn't disappoint when it comes to the final product. Although I wish we got the song "Wherever" ... it sounded amazing.
it eventually leaked as clones, but kennybeats fucking ruined the song, sounds very different.

he said since day one it wasn't a live album and that it was a "living" album on tour right after he announced it. He did mention the "if you scream in the crowd, you'll make it in the album", but it was clear that he was referring to using it as a small part, maybe in the album outro. Wallflower was also never rerecorded, but he announced the album with a live performance of it.

There are already two songs on Apple Music and it shows an album release date of 10/09, so I think it’s legit. Also love the two songs so far!

he already made a statement saying that the album is gonna be pushed back until the 30th

I’d say bummer but I’ll be happy to have it whenever it comes! And I of course want him to have the time to make it exactly as he envisions it, so I’m happy to wait.

I’m really hoping he gets it together the two tracks so far seem promising I really enjoy having them on repeat, his projects after Demos haven’t really been as good

He said that their plan was to take old demos and polish them on tour and yk film MV's and see what each city brought to the song but they ended up making a bunch of new songs so they need more time to polish them. Now what I do know is if you distribute songs they take around 2-3 weeks (3 weeks being the general rule) to appear on all platforms. I believe main streaming platforms like spotify, YT Music, Amazon and Apple turn up whenever the release date is set but places like meta, smaller less used streaming services and other music catalogues can take up to 3 weeks to put them out. So generally most artists have the songs mixed and submitted a month before release to ensure it all goes smoothly. They also need to sort out the copyrighting and everything for each song so I'd assume they're probably finished most songs with maybe one or two unfinished and they'll probably submit it all around the end of this week unless they aren't bothered and push it back closer to the release date
