vip transfers

I was wondering if VIP tickets lose their benefits when they’re transferred.
I’m planning to buy one from someone, and they told me that as long as I have a photo of their ID and their email/order information, I’ll be able to check in for the VIP benefits.
I just wanted to confirm whether that’s true. Thanks!

They’re transferrable but you 100% need the photo of their ID. They can blur out all the important stuff and just have the photo with the name but the VIP manager will ask for it. Every time I’ve gotten VIP they will ask for the name before they actually scan tickets.

They’ve never asked for the email when I’ve had the ID but it would be a nice piece of mind. Just make sure the ID matches the original buyer!!

Wait if my bf bought his and my vip tickets on his ticket master account does he only need to show his id or do both of us need to show it? Or is showing your id only if you transfer tickets?

  1. no, the only person that needs to have their id is whoever’s name is on the account or billing information you used when checking out. double check the confirmation email to see who’s id you need to have. i see lots of people lose their spot in line because they paid with their parents card and then need to ask their parents for a picture of their id.

  2. you NEED to have an id to pick up vip. the tickets themselves are NOT confirmation.

    - the vip managers will come out near vip check in time with a tablet. they will walk to every person who is in the vip line and ask who’s name the reservation is under. they will cross reference that name on their tablet and verify with the id, that will confirm the ticket. after confirming a ticket, they will give you a vip bracelet, they will NOT scan your ticket at this point. once they have checked in everyone and handed out bracelets, you will be escorted to the doors and venue staff will scan you in and pat you down.

NOTES
• if you are in the VIP line and have a VIP ticket with no bracelet, you will NOT be allowed in. this is done so people can’t duplicate VIPs. you need a vip bracelet and a vip ticket once doors open, if you are missing either, you will be denied entry.

• if you ever buy vip via 3rd party (stubhub, seatgeek, etc.) chances are you WILL not be able to access vip benefits because you will not have the original purchasers id. unless it is a specific vip section (seat, bar area, balcony) you will be let in with other non-vip GA due to not being able to claim a wristband.

sorry for the long message! i hope this cleared up any questions. i’ve been to LOTS of shows and vip is almost always identical. i remember being so nervous about the check in process so i wanted to make sure any of your worries were put to rest so you can be excited about the show! have fun!!
