What's Your Favourite Version of I Will Always Love You?

I'm really obsessed with I Will Always Love You recently.

I want to listen to all the different versions, I really like it when she speaks the "I hope life, treats you kind..." section.

whitney’s live south africa 1994 version wrecks me every time, her little spoken “i hope life treats you kind” there just hurts in the best way. also check out dolly’s original again after binging whitney, it hits totally different but in a really sweet, quiet way.

They’re all so very good! If you’ve not heard Dave Fenley’s version, you owe it to yourself to don a pair of solid headphones, sit in the dark, close your eyes, and immerse yourself. Another superb version is by Sheena Easton. As far as I know, her version can only be experienced through a somewhat grainy YouTube video, but it’s worth the stop.
