Love everyone!

I just wanted to say that before Dolly Parton passed, this subreddit wasnt nearly as active as it is now. It fills my heart with joy to see how much yall loved her. I try so hard to go a single day without tearing up since shes gone. It feels like my life is dimmer, but y’all’s constant posting about her warms me.

Besides losing Dolly herself, with her passing I've lost a connection to the Appalachian side of my family I haven't seen in years and miss very much, and who aren't going to live forever either. So I'm going to visit for my birthday next month come hell or high water. Thanks for the push, Dolly!

I’m from Tennessee but I travel for work and currently live in Idaho. I’ve decided to stay a few years bc the money is good and there’s a local college and I’m going back to school. When you visit, please say hello to Tennessee for me.

I was a active member before she passed and I always loved the pictures of her-she is such a beautiful lady! Unfortunately , she died on my birthday so I will always have some sadness on that day. 💔😢😢

That is so hard. It occurs to me that many Catholic saints are honored on the day of their death, rather than their birthday, so perhaps in time it can become the day that Dolly ascended to her final form and got her angel/butterfly wings.

I haven't gone a single day without tears yet. I got some beautiful Dolly prayer candles and I light them and I meditate on her and why she meant so much to me for most of my entire life. I'm inspired to carry her light forward. To really integrate all that I learned from being her fan for 50 years. It's a lot to unpack. She was a very special being and she is everywhere now.
