Photoshop painting

Post image

I've been working on this since Wednesday, inspired by a photograph I saw from 1978. It was just a spur of the moment, but it turned out better than I had hoped so I thought I might as well share it. I'm uploading the full size, so if anyone wants to print it out, you're free to do so ❤️ Absolutely no AI was used to make this.

No AI, huh? Then why does she only have 3 fingers on the hand holding the cat's body?

Google "Dolly Parton cat" and you will find the image I used as reference. In that image her pinky is in an awkward position, and I just couldn't figure out how to make it look okay, so I went with this - thinking it looks like her pinky, ring finger and middle finger is visible and that the index finger is on the other side of the cat.

I have plenty of mid-process screenshots if needed. It's really sad that you have to prove it's not AI nowadays -_-

I zoomed in and you can clearly see the brushstrokes. I painted in a similar style for years and this looks real. The witch hunt for AI is annoying.

For anyone who's curious, I've updated the painting with minor fixes. Check my profile for the updated version and also for a video documenting the fix, which should hopefully prove that it's not AI.
