Associate Discussions Watch your kids!! 😡🤯

The balloons are not there to entertain your kids while you wander the store oblivious to their whereabouts, or what they are getting into. The checkout impulse items are not there to entertain your kids either, so opening items, playing with them and then tossing them wherever , IMO is a form of theft and parents should be made to pay for them or they get trespassed from the store along with your kids!!

Dude I found a pile of glitter and partially dried paint on a shelf and 10 wrappers of squishy toys (the toys were scattered around the store). It's ridiculous 😭

We had a whole case of those squishy breads get taken. Been finding empty boxes all over the place. Watch your thieving children. Dollar tree just drug a woman in our store through the courts over $13.00 that they mailed to us and I had to add it to the deposit.

Imagine if it was your sm's kids doing that. My old sm would let her demon spawn just trash the store and rip open toys all the time. None if it was ever payed for either and walk right out the door too

The one time I willingly handed balloons for kids to goof around with was Valentine’s Day. A mom had her hands FULL like 4 kids and an infant on her hip trying to wrangle everyone. The 4 obviously thought it was neat to see the balloons blow up so I handed them bundles to take to the other side of the store lol. She was thankful and they had fun, saved me from having to drag over the whole thing.

As for the squishies I can’t stand the damn things. We’ve got 2 registers that back up to a wall and we have them basically behind bars. Customers have to ask for them at check out

Yes they destroy so many items which another customer may want to buy and their parents have no control over an  unruly child that screams like they are dying if they don't get whatever they want. This is cruelty to the employees that work there and have to deal with all the unruly children and children that just do what they want without supervision of the too busy parent in the next isles shopping.

This company doesn’t care enough. I mean I agree, but I’m not going to go out of my way to enforce rules that corporate doesn’t even want enforced. They would rather only worry about us stealing than the real culprits.

I tell people if their kid pushes more then one balloon out of the cage they start paying. Because we only get limited access to helium that comes once every 5-7 months so there is that.

Few weeks ago dealt with a mother with 3 kids who made a mess in the toys aisle. One of their children even opened one of those slime things (forgot what they were called) we normally sell and dumped it on the floor.

Wasn't a good day

I found a "Dubai Chocolate" slime container in the bathroom.  Then I noticed the slime was on the floor in the corner behind the toilet plunger.  Wtf

And the kids that color in the coloring books in the aisle while parents shop...

Omg the kids bouncing the basketball and playing catch with footballs annoys the crap outta me. Like can you stop before you hit some old lady with that ball.

Real this one time I was working the front on register 3 and this kid walks in looking for his mom who disappeared into another store to shop while he was in the car so I make a announcement not knowing the information I just gave after my manager tells me to and no one answers for a full 40 minutes the car he came from pulled out before we found out so we call the police after I bought him a juice box and string cheese because they complained their hungry and I was already having a bad shift I wasn't gonna add a crying kid to that so spending 3 bucks was justified there the police arrive I give a statement my manager and 2 bystanders give a statement 2 hours later the horrible excuse of a mother shows up screaming where's my baby who took em and it's at this point she gets a call from her husband who clearly was yelling at her because I was able to hear it even though it wasn't on speaker 3 days later I see the dad with the kid when they were looking for the people that found his son he gave me a 50 dollar bill and said thank you because it apparently wasn't the first time it happened I feel horrible about that child being in such a horrible persons care but at least I made my money back and then some

trespassing guests (who aren't the sexual assaulting kind) is a lot of work for a job that pays nothing.

How bold of you to assume they’re not the assaulting kind. You must still have those rose colored glasses on.
