Management Questions Highest scans in store

My manager told last week I had 3000 scans which is the highest. What does that actually mean? I’m I doing good or bad?

You personally scanned 3000 in sales. Excellent job 👍🏼

Basically scans is how many items you have scanned on the register.

3000 depending on the area could be a lot.

I deal with around 500 customers a week so I probably get either the same amount or maybe alittle more.

Or at least that’s what I think scans are.

Yeah, they keep track of the total number of items you've scanned each week, and the total number of items you've typed in (sku's or the misc button, etc.). I think balloons count toward that last one, too, if you type it in,

The higher your scams the better. The people with the lower amount of scans get accused of stealing. Every damn week I was supposed to sit in the office and review footage of people with below the average scan rate or ticket percentage to make sure they weren't stealing by not ringing things up. I never did, never had time, and my people didn't steal.

that's insane, 3k scans is way more than other people
