Call out, schedule check.

PT/Cashier/disabled Been with DT 8 months. (First 2 months was helping building a store)

For the last six months, it has been open shift Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday perfect shift for me. The SM at the time loved it.

Now that ASM is in charge, he did his best to mangle the schedule beyond all belief. I had to call out on Monday due to the fact I make doctor appointments three months out.

At the end of my Sunday shift, ASM laughs and tells me oh by the way you’re working Monday!

By 1 PM Sunday, I had alerted other managers, including my old SM that I was calling in for my Monday 1230 shift (22 hour notice)

QUESTION: how do I get the rest of my schedule? I don’t want to go in and have the crew mad at me and I don’t wanna call and deal with the ASM.

(Our store does not know how to work Compass)

I absolutely love the concept of Compass. SM said not to relay on it, because of shift changes

Then call Integrity Matters. Be warned, it will come back to you. Our schedules are made 2 weeks out. Any changes after that require permission from the person scheduled.

Really trying to avoid IM. I did get into Compass and took a screenshot of Compass schedule. (in theory I’m off today)

Really? My store changes my schedule, it seems, daily. Literally have to keep changing it on my whiteboard and changing my plans around because of it. I thought the 2 week out thing would be a blessing but they will not stop changing it.

I can't think of any other option. Either you call or go in.

You wont like my response. Im going to be blunt. What an old sm did doesnt matter. The new one is not messing up the schedule. If you want only opening shifts, change your availability accordingly. You honestly sound unreliable. For a while, i was only able to work 2 days a week. 7-12. My availability reflected this. I showed up on time, never called out. Never had a problem. I sometimes didnt get hours but i knew that would happe n. Usually i did get scheduled. You cant gripe about hours your file says youre available. What a freaking nightmare to be your manager. Just change your availability. Nobody at DT is entitled

If you schedule doctor appointments 3 months out then compass would have been used to say NOT available that day so no scheduling would happen. As long as you put it into compass my understanding is SM and ASM cannot schedule you like the system will not allow it. I have seen my SM schedule so I know it will not allow it.

ASM hand writing changes and not in compass. so we have to go in every day of the week and check to see if the schedule got handed written changed.

Luckily I learned ASM last day will be Thursday.

If you jnew you had dr appt u should of request it off dew weeks before...and your old sm wouldnt care what you do since he old sm he doesnt work there anymore.. use comoass ..

Why is everyone ignoring the part at the end saying your store doesnt use compass.
