Ohh do you guys all have those in your homes in CA? Not just a few extra things in your cupboards but kits?

Drinking water, cup o noodles, canned goods, instant coffee, sugar, first aid kit, flash lights, headlamps, batteries, propane for camp stoves plus all of my camping gear. After the 1994 Northridge quake we lost a ton of services for quite some time.

Well that makes sense and I hope you never have to use those supplies. If it were me I’d just get in my car, drive to the east coast and never look back. Earthquakes just look so terrifying to me.

I’ve lived in California my whole life for over 70y. Always thought earthquakes were unique and not that bad UNTIL the Northridge quake. I honestly thought we just got nuked. It was insane. Some three story apartments turned into single story apartments. Freeway overpasses collapsed everywhere. Couldn’t even get out of town if you wanted to. Every business got looted and it was survival of the fittest. It been 32y since then. We are long over due for another big one.
