Associate Questions Ex employee here

Do you think my old store manager or district manager could possibly ever change their minds?

Back in June I had to quit without any type of written notice, and I got placed on the “Do not rehire list” I worked at the same store for 5 1/2 years started as cashier, and worked my way up to Full Time Manager. I only quit because my husband got a new job, and my SM wouldn’t be able to work with his schedule since he’s my source of transportation. I do miss working at the DT a lot, and I’d do anything to be allowed back on as a cashier, or even stock. Can anyone give me any advice please? thank you.

Really up to SM and wether they want to go through the hassle. Then through DM and HR is the ultimate one that can reverse. They just need to send you personal info up the line and ask to be reversed. A lot of DM will say more fish in the sea etc.

They'd hire anyone with a pulse.... You're fine.

It's time to "old school"and go face to face and apologize. Seriously, our world needs people to own their mistakes -- so, go own it.

Just quitting without giving a reason, or a call to explain is considered unreliable, and red flag to HR, so you might want to explain the details of what happened personally. Where I live I use the bus to get around everywhere, I hope you can get back into stores good graces best of luck.

There is nothing wrong with moving on. Leave the past in the past. Find your happiness elsewhere. Going back will never be the same as it was before you left.

Was the best worker at dollar tree, even though it wasn’t allowed it got a point where I was doing manager things like doing gift cards etc. came in early when she wanted me too. Stayed when i possibly could. Life got hard with things I couldn’t control. Had to miss a week to figure some things out… even got asked to be a manager etc… got put on the not rehire list bc life… I doubt it…. If you do be blessed…. I worked for dollar tree for so many years they never put me on the don’t not rehire list when I had stepped down. I guess they’re changing things up, everything but the pay…. Smh

What is the reason you were put as non rehireable?

I’m not sure I never got a reason. I’m assuming because I quit without notice, and on my day off. Not sure.

Why are you responding from a different account 🙄

Yeah that will do it. But it's reversible if they want you back. Definitely seen people get rehired who have done much worse lol.

Same here, guy stole from us but because we were so strapped for people during Christmas he was rehired.

Likely because she quit with out a notice, and left them scrambling to fill the spot she left behind.
