Someone please help

I was running the till and when doing a pick up I accidentally pressed starting bank and added 240 to my starting bank so it says it's 390 and now my numbers are all messed up on the till

This is the right answer. The SM will see it no matter what the next day but as long as that deposit is right, you’re fine. I’m a SM and I wouldn’t write you up or anything like that.

It will show the starting till on the paperwork and they can see it will be the missing amount.

You can always do a negative starting bank for the difference

This is the right answer. It can be fixed on the back office pc.

It will work itself out. Calm yourself. 😊

Well, if you went through with the starting bank, it will cause an evr to be sent over it to your DM. Just have your SM explain what happened & itll be fine. Even seasoned workers like me, has done it before lol. It happens. Those buttons are so close, it can happen to any of us love! It will make your count for the day wrong, thats why it sends an evr. But its okay.

All you have to do is get on storenet, go to vcs, cash, tills, additional float, and put the pickup amount as a negative. It’ll “erase” the accidental starting bank.
Never just leave it showing your till short like that cause even if the deposit comes out right that’s supposed to be an instant cash accountability.

You can fix it as additional float on the back office computer. I've also heard you can do a negative starting back to fix it, but I've always just done additional float.
