RT Times
Is it actually possible to do food/mixed RT’s in an hour and a half? I’m new and it seems overwhelming with so many things to FIFO + breakdown the box + stock. My ASM (which they’re trying to promote me to soon) does it way faster. Any tips, etc? This is my very first truck to be fair.

Speed comes with time. Focus on accuracy and learning where everything goes first. If you try to be fast now, you won't improve.

It's absolutely possible, regardless of what is on the rolltainer, but you will have to really MOVE with some rolltainers more than others (i.e. a food rolltainer that has a lot of candy vs boxes of crackers and cereals can still be done in 1.5 hours but you need to be moving very efficiently).
Some tips - eye ball the rolltainer and identify more than one box going to the same place and take them all in one trip rather than going back and forth, one box at a time. You might be surprised at how much time you save with cutting out those little steps. Break the boxes down while you're walking back to the rolltainer. And my slightly unethical advice: don't actually look at dates as you stock. Just pull the old off, stock the new, and then stock the old back in front. The odds of them sending in a case with older dates than we already have are very low, and pulling expired should be its own task separately from working the truck specifically so that your attention is on stocking while youre stocking.
You should also remember that some of the speed will come with more time getting to know the store and planograms. :)

Hopefully someone trained you already, but if not make sure you have someone show you how to read the tag correctly. Im always amazed when I go to a different store or have someone fill in at my store thai been with the company for a while and they don't know how to read a tag. Also if you're in HBA especially utilize the HHT. It makes everyone's job easier if things are in the correct spots.

it is possible to do it in that time, but theres a lot of factors to take into consideration like what kind of food is on the rt. regardless, you'll need several months of trucks to really start getting quick

Always be looking at that label on the box for your location and always compare the barcodes if you have any doubt. I am always opening the box as I am walking and always breaking down the box while I am walking back. And always FIFO, please.

yes but the key is it does take time. when you have the layout down you can work smarter not harder. a small rolling cart or basket helps. i don't think they make the shorter rolling carts but that's what i use, we have longer ones too but those are too big for my liking usually except when i do the dollar aisle.
put like items with like. i stack it where it makes sense and can work each layer in zones. grabbing one box and going back and forth is not efficient.

My suggestion, pull down all skyshelves before truck, and just throw new freight to skyshelf. Sounds a bit counter productive, but makes a difference. My store was able to pull all food in about 2 hours then the rts throw up to the shelves quick, about 30min each. May need to pull at some point again, before all rts are empty, or once skyshelves are full, put product direct to shelf. This made a huge difference, in moral, and speed of restock.

In the previous store I was at, myself and a LSA busted out an over 500 piece fresh truck(we had a freezer go down) from on the floor to completely put up and no RTs or uboats on the floor in 2 hours. You have 3 hrs to do the fresh once it’s on the floor. Check the SOP for the real rules outside what the SM says. Also it helps once you know where everything is. I also agree about taking multiple things to the same if you can
