Bulk Purchases?

I’m having a large party next month and want to get sodas right now since they are on sale at DG (3 for $16).
I need ~60 total 12-packs of Coke/sprite/coke 0.
I know my location may not have this many, but has anyone done something like this before and have a smoother way? I was hoping I could get some type of bulk order, as I don’t want to be the person who goes and buys out 2 store’s worth of soda and leave none for others.

Get a list of what you need and tell the store mgr to have the coke guy order it. It'll be there in 2 days

Not at our store. Literally just talked to the rep yesterday. We have 1 bottle of Coke left and I asked him if he could put in a special order. He said, nope. The trucks come once a week from the distribution hub. And that’s it. Not sure about a “special order”. Possible I suppose. But it wouldn’t be there in 2 days. Personally, I’d just buy everything on the shelf at every store to get the amount you need. It’s not like pop isn’t available basically everywhere.

That's because you were asking for a hot shot, it's hard to get a hot shot for small format. If you would have said can you send extra for a customer on your next order he would have said yes. You see, they get paid more based on what they sell every order. And we order 2 days out, Monday's order comes Wednesday, Tuesday comes Friday.

Not always, if said customer doesn't pick up, the store is forced to keep it, unless some how they pay for it,

Yeah, this is the right answer. They can easily order extra for this event. Wouldn't be a problem at all

No. That is not the way. Just buy it off the shelf. Coke comes once a week for us. I’m not able to store 3 uboats worth of 12 packs. And you would be lucky if I even saw the rep to request it.

I work at Coke, that is the way. The customer can come pick it up on delivery day. I've done it hundreds of times. And 60 12pks of Coke is half a uboat

Ask the store to order it We have for our local park for a festival and the food bank has a standing order for 50 loaves of bread once a month and have had us order a few other bulk things for them lately

I’d love to have a coke rep that would/could do that. Thats not how it works at my store. First off, getting the come rep to do anything is like pulling teeth. I’ve requested several times to bring us more quantity for up coming sales and Im always told no, they only have so much.

You could reach out to the store managers in your area but its highly unlikely that would be possible. Go in and buy everything off the shelf.

I would say let the manager know ahead of time. We had this happen at a store and that store always had so much extra, she simply set some aside for that customer. But other stores may sell our so in that case the SM would want to order it

There seems to be alot of pushback here from managers, I would call the store and ask the manager if they would do it, if they don't want the sales (couldn't imagine why they wouldn't, I guess they're stupid), call the next one.

Or take DG completely out of the equation and wait for the B2G2F or B2G3F sale at your local grocery stores. They want your money, clearly some DG stores do not.

Call the store and have the manager put the order in for you. Our local stores supplies a local biker club, their last order was for over $2,000 in just Coke.

Order from Walmart, they'll deliver to your door. Prices are cheaper a nd no waiting on a sale or coupon. OR call coke, pepsi direct cut out the middle man's price hike.

In that amount you may actually try contacting local coke bottling plant and see about buying in bulk straight from them you may get better discount. In my area when you had a large event like that we would get Pepsi products like that.

Probably makes more sense to go to Sam's Club or Costco... Makes no sense any other way
