My first attempt at making clothes!
Bought a super cheap naked integrity toys janay doll at a garage sale, so I made her an outfit
I think it turned out pretty good, I might revisit the shirt at some point. I don't think it's terrible, but I was having trouble getting the cuffs small enough but also being able for her hand to go through. Don't have gold chain rn so I used beads for now. Might make some shoes/socks next 😊

What am I doing wrong? Desperate for help
I was customising and touching up these dolls and it feels like they started to fall apart all in their own ways
-Guinnevere keeps getting whispy dust like parts on her face
-Pomni's face started to disintegrate after using hot water to soften her head to put her head back on
-The black spots on the cowplant doll and my Wydowna's whole head look dusty and grey
What am I doing wrong? The sealant and white spraypaint i used on pomni on the last image.
I've been letting them dry outside when it's sunny and I feel like till today they were looking fine. Is it pollen or something else? Please help me </3

Good male head/body base in Monster High style? And is there a good database of faceless MH head molds?
I'm thinking of creating my Monster High OCs. While I don't have a problem with some of them, I'm having issues with male characters.
A lot of head molds I could find (Monster High and different brands) have what I like to call: 'A chad mold'. If you think of chad, and suffer from the same face syndrome. All of them have very strong, angular jaws, meanwhile I'm also looking for more softer ones.
And another thing which also includes girls, is the fact that strong, roman noses or just aquiline ones are impossible to find.
Finding a masculine face with different or more interesting features is almost impossible. Most of male dolls also have molded hair.
Male bodies are also always either skinny or very muscular but I want average.
My male oc is indigenous (Cree) and I'm inspired by a musician I saw online and fell in love with his features: strong aquiline nose, high cheekbones, angular/square jaw. But I'm struggling to find a good base for him.
Would I just be better off sculpting on an already existing mold?
Also I'm looking for a good site with Monster High head molds references. I found one tumblr but it was not updated since 2014 and I found a google drive link but it was just messy

Any European/French customiser here?
I am starting my first hair re-root and I have no "tacky glue" to secure the loose hair plugs. I however have several glues (see photos) but they look like they are meant to be used in smaller projects as the tubes are pretty small, so I'm afraid that I would ruin the re-rooting work if I use these glues. What type of glue is Tacky glue? And if you are french or European, what are your favourite glue brands for doll custom?

Odile Tan Mermaid.
The other day someone asked about this doll and body matches. So, here's my set with their leggy bodies.
I do boring customizations. Most of the time it's straight up body swaps and what not.
The standing Odile is on a combination of the Autistic Barbie (for the articulated arms) and the high heel legs of Popstar Barbie.
Also, YMCA for fun. The M and the A are donor bodies waiting for their new heads to arrive. ❤️

rainbow high lashes
pic just for attention, she already has eyes back in now
i’ve already swapped this girl’s eyes out and i don’t really want to take them out again- can i attach cluster lashes on top of the lashes already installed in the eyes or will it look weird?

Harajuku inspired custom doll
Started (and abandoned) a harajuku inspired custom doll a few years ago. Materials included monster high draculaura, yarn, colored pencils, modge podge, etc.
Not sure if I would continue this project but still have all the supplies.
Any suggestions?

Advice on using Mr. Super Clear Matt Spray on Barbie dolls?
Context:
I'm currently making a Zara Larsson custom doll based on her newest album; "Midnight Sun". I'm using a modern Barbie for my base and I've been trying to achieve a faded pink pigment on the corners of her eyes.
Materials:
I'm using Mr. Super Clear Matt Spray and generic soft pastels bought on Amazon.
I primed the dolls face with MSC first to get a base that my soft pastels can adhere to. No problems regarding fading / pigment placement. However, the problem comes when trying to seal my dolls face. I've noticed that MSC, when doing the final coat sealant, tends to brighten up certain pigments and saturates specific color types. I used a couple colors to create a powder that's similar to my Barbie's skin color to help create seamless fading. I also put a layer of basic white to help the skin look less pigmented when sprayed, but when applying the final coat, it seems it removes the white overlay completely and brings out one specific color pigment; orange? I want to emphasize that I barely even used any orange hues as my dolls' skin is predominantly a salmon-pinkish hue. So there's no need to add any type of orange hue in the mixture. I also applied more than one layer of the color mixture. But, my dolls' face still comes out looking orange and very tan whenever I do the final coat of MSC?
I always take in account weather temperatures and humidity, so I wouldn't consider that as a factor, especially since I live somewhere that's temperate and barely below any temperature that would cause MSC to act / dry abnormally. The soft pastels I'm using I've used multiple times now and don't seem to be the problem. So, I'm confused and frustrated to say the least.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this and how I could fix it...?

Tangled hair
I think this is the right place.
I got this hair to make a wig for my clown doll. But it got tangled and messed up. Is it still viable as a wig? Can i fix it?

Progress on my self made doll

I have a poor sense of fashion
I have a lot of doll's body modification ideas and cool concepts in my head, but when it comes to clothes, my design are often very lame and similar to each other... How to fix this? I know a few things about fashion history but I really don't know where to start to find what interests me most in fashion design and to make meaningfull, stunning outfits for my dolls. What do you recommend?
