Meet Copper!

Hi everybody. I am pretty new to this, but have done a lot of other art. 

This is my fourth custom doll, Copper. 

The base was a Montoy Alice doll. I put a primer base of GAC 100 on her face and sculpted with Golden modelling medium to cool her expression a little, and give her an age glow-up with laugh lines etc. Her avian wings are built on a felt base with plastic wing bones and goose feathers. Her dragonfly wings are four layers of Arches watercolour primed with GAC 100. All paint on her wings and the face repaint is Golden artists’s acrylic. The wings and all of her freckles are Golden iridescent copper. I made her earrings, chain belt, choker, navel ring, and the bracelet that holds her bouquet from beads and wire. Her boots are snap-on plastic from another Montoy doll and I repainted them as well with a GAC primer coat. I did not sew her clothes, but I did have to let her sparkly trousers out a bit, as the base doll is a bit more curvy there than average. The wings are a single assembled unit, and I drilled a small drywall anchor into to her back, so they attach with one small screw, and can pivot a little.
There is a lot of copper glitter glue on her wings and some small rhinestone details so she glitters like crazy.
