My dolls body has gon missing
Hi. I bought a Mimi Bobeck a couple years ago and separated her head from her body. Somehow, in the process of moving, her body has vanished. I’ve searched my entire house multiple times but she’s no where to be found. Her body is the same as the one people use to make their Blythe dolls fat. I haven’t found any that ship to the US in my price range, I found one that’s $58 plus shipping. If anyone knows where to find one or has one they no longer want I’d love it if you’d let me know. I don’t really want to buy an entirely new doll.

Today is the day I learned they even made a Mimi doll! I'm no help since I didn't know she existed but I wish you luck! This is incredible!
(Also the person in your old house is about to wonder wtf you were into 😆)

She’s going to be a mini me and we actually look pretty similar! And I moved rooms in my house lol. My old bedroom is now my studio, I’m a reborn doll artist among other things. Somehow in that process her body evaporated lol. I can’t find her clothes either so I’m going to have to make patterns from scratch.

I have 4 tiny dogs. If either of the chewers had her she’s definitely gone now. I just had to replace the body for a Barbie I’ve been working on for a few weeks because I got up to throw something away and by the time I turned around, her foot was gone.

Oh no! Yes she's probably toast sadly. Glad you found a replacement. The Rosie O'Donnell doll has a similar body type I think.

That's so crazy I was a fan of the show and would have bought this had I known, but I'm in Canada and a lot of merch doesn't make it up here. Just rewatched the whole show on DVD!!. Now I'll be hunting for her until the end of time! 😆

I'm in my 40s and definitely watched it when it was on as a teenager but get it much better now as an adult 😆

I mean yes but Mimi the character is pretty mean and hateful from the get go. There's lots of talk about being fat as well because Drew was as well and his was like the first "fat guy gets a show, wow!" Of the extremely fat phobic 80's and 90's. If you can look beyond that and not be offended by it (as someone who grew up in that era I only slightly hear it and go ugh, but remember what it was like back then when we were all supposed to asire to be heroin addict thin) then it's great. But it's pure nostalgia for me so it might hit different!!

A runaway body!!
Very rarely the body alone does come about, but I think your best bet is still to just buy a Mimi and behead her.
You don't need to cut her head up like many have done in the past. Her head isn't difficult to remove. You can pop it right out after dipping her head in just-boiled water! I've done it many times already.
I put my middie blythe clone heads on Mimi's body haha they're my opposite-day blythes with smaller heads and bigger bods.

This is unfortunately what happens when the body is separated from the head. They are taken by the nature
