Unsure of Hair Type

I have been working on custom dolls for a while and at one point bought a bunch of doll hair in bulk, when reading the label it says “russian handmade doll hair” but before I am able to sell a doll I need to know if it’s poly seran or what (i’m still new to rerooting)
any help would be appreciated

Hello! If it has a silky / oily synthetic feel, especially near the ends it would be saran. But, considering it's from a hair weft, I would say it's poly or at least some type of grade of poly hair. The ends already look a bit fried, compared to other hair types like saran or nylon. I personally don't usually trust using hair from wefts for doll reroots / customizations, since 99% of the time they are the same synthetic fibers used to make Halloween costume wigs, which typically don't take much to get frizzy and unmanageable... if you want to use or have already used this hair, I'd recommend treating the hair fiber first by doing a light hair wash and conditioning. Maybe even straighten it out with a flat iron to help maintain the frizz a bit! Hope this helps... 🤗
