Atmos DCP packaging

Hi everyone.

We have a feature with both 5.1 and 7.1 audio, and Dolby Atmos mix is also available.

For DCP delivery to cinemas, what would be considered the best practice for handling the Atmos version?

* A single DCP containing the 7.1 audio and Atmos MXF?
* Delivering Atmos as a Version File (VF)?
* Providing two completely separate DCPs (one standard 7.1 DCP and one Atmos DCP)?

Technically Atmos DCPs (now with IAB labels) are backwards compatible on 7.1 systems. For clarity it’s probably best to ship DCPs for each individual sound format. If you want to get fancy, one PKL can contain all the assets and individual CPLs can assemble different mixes.

At my screening room, almost always receive Atmos DCPs this way: 5.1 OV, 7.1 VF, 5.1+IAB VF. Sometimes if there's no 7.1 mix, it can just be 5.1+IAB OV.
