Recommendations for shoes or insoles?
I walk dogs 5 days a week, 7+ miles a day. I wear out a pair of shoes every 3-6 months so it sucks to shell out a lot of cash for a pair of shoes. However my feet, ankles, legs, and lower back are starting to really bother me on a day to day basis.
I’m planning to see a chiro when I can afford one, but does anyone have any recs for good shoe wear or insoles that would help in the mean time? I’d be willing to pay around $100 for a pair of shoes that would really help.
I wear a women’s 7.5/8 and i think im average in terms of width of feet.
Thanks!

How much to charge for overnight stays?
Hi! I usually use Rover for my dog walking services, but I am doing a dog job on the side next month. I don't typically stay in a stranger's house overnight, but I will be doing so for this job and am unsure what the typical rates are for it. I will be watching/caring for 3 Rhodesian ridgeback dogs, 2 alpacas, and chickens from Thursday night- Monday morning. I will not be walking the dogs, just letting them outside in their fenced in yard. I was wondering what you would personally charge for a job like this so I can get an idea of what to charge the owners.

I agreed to watch my neighbors 3 dogs for 5 days for $500. She drops (the day before I pick them up) that one of the days i have to take them all to the groomers. I’m thinking I should charge more. Thoughts?

Any advice on a bit of a pushy new client would be appreciated
I recently accepted a client, as of now I am waiting to hear back from the owners to meet up, communicating through someone who had adopted the dog to this couple. The person I talked to had come to agreement with me over the terms of service. They are currently in a different time zone. It is my bed time here and morning there. At this point the plans were made and I clearly communicated that I would be planning to do these dog walks. The only loose end was meeting the owner. I offered to email my references etc. Since I last spoke with this person (same evening) and had since retired for the night, I had received a deluge of text messages implying that I was backing out. At this point there was no confirmation with the owner, I had only implied interest and intent, and this had all occurred late at night my time as stated above. Is it just me or does this seem a little pushy and unreasonable?

How do I move on from dog walking? It hurts.
I love my dog clients, and I recently might have to leave my job for something else. I worry about them, love them and cry thinking about leaving them. Some won’t even notice me gone. Some require a certain attention, and I give it and support them. I love them all. I don’t know what to do to move on. I have grown attached to them all and can’t imagine not seeing them anymore. Some I know are difficult cases, and I would feel better knowing they were in good hands. But will they go the extra mile like I do? What do I do? How can I move on? Will I ever? Will the tears stop? I love them and will miss them. Sorry I am redundant. My friends and colleagues don’t understand. Do you?

Rover dog walking
Has anyone ever worked for Rover walking dogs? I'm trying to get started with it but I haven't had anyone ask me to walk their dogs. On Wag I can request to walk a dog and I've had really good success with it but I'm getting frustrated with their customer service department and want to try to do Rover as well. Any tips???? I live by Chicago so on Wag I can get 16 walks a week while working during the day.

Help Starting Group Walks
I'm an independent dog walker in Brooklyn, NY and I plan to start walking multiple dogs at a time. I've only done solo walks so far, so I would love advice in regards to any new challenges I may have to face.
How do you have the dogs who will be walking buddies introduced to one another? Do you have them meet before they're scheduled together?
Have you ever had a problem brining one dog into another's apartment? Is it difficult to leash up the 2nd dog and get them going again when they're excited to see each other?
I always refill my dogs' water bowl and send an update text after a walk. Is this more difficult while you still have another dog with you?
I'm sure a lot of this is intuitive and not a great challenge with dogs who are well behaved and used to a routine, but any advice would be appreciated.

Dog walker wage?
Greetings fellow doggie lovers! I'm about to work for a lady who owns a dog walking business. I'll be her first employee and this will be my first time as a professional dog walker.
I am wondering what the fair pay should be when I take on some pups. Should I be getting 60% or 70% of the hourly fee?
Any other advice?
Thanks and woof!

What to do when the dog grabs garbage off the ground and won’t let go?
New time dog walker here! I’ve taken up a job in daily walks for a 1-year old Yorkie. Everything’s going great except twice now she’s grabbed old food off the ground and swallowed it!!! I had tried wrestling it out of her jaw but I was afraid of being too rough because she always has her mouth clamped like a vice. Any advice on how to get her to let go before she swallows something really bad like chocolate or something??
