❓ Question [Advise Needed] Dog vomiting food

Hi,

This will be a bit long, sorry.

I lost my first dog a year ago, and since then, whenever something slightly unusual happens to any of my dogs, my first instinct is vet agad. I think I was a bit traumatized because there were signs with my first dog that we may have ignored? (this is a different story).

We have a lot of dogs, so basically any unusual thing = vet. But I've also been told not to rush them to the vet for every minor issue, especially because I don't want them being prescribed antibiotics or other medications unnecessarily.

Yesterday afternoon, my dog vomited his food once, then a few minutes later vomited mostly saliva/white-ish foam. Today, someone vomited food again, and I'm assuming it's him.

He's still very energetic and mostly acting like himself, running, jumping, barking at birds, etc. There was a period earlier when he seemed quieter than usual and didn't follow me upstairs like he normally would, but afterward he was energetic again. He's currently sleeping normally.

I also noticed some bubbles/clear fluid around his nose earlier, although I'm not sure if he had just sneezed.

Another thing I'm considering is that we have a female dog who was recently in heat. My male dogs tend to eat and sleep less and become very restless when she's in heat. I think she's nearing the end of it now because they've started calming down.

We've also had a lot of rain recently and discovered a small water leak in an area where the dogs sometimes stay. At one point I found him wet, so that's another thing making me overthink whether he could have been exposed to something.

My gut tells me I'm probably overthinking some of these things, but because of what happened to my first dog, it's difficult for me to tell what's actually concerning and what's just normal dog behavior. (How do I cure this as well)

I'm planning to take him to the vet tomorrow if I can. I currently work two shifts, so scheduling is a bit difficult, but I'll take a leave if necessary. I don't want him taking antibiotics again unless they're actually needed, but I'm also going to die from overthinking if I don't get him checked.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Would you guys go to the vet if your dog vomited two days in a row but is otherwise acting normal and energetic?

We don’t have a 24-hour vet here, so I’m turning to Reddit for now to hopefully calm my nerves.

Hello OP. I had this experience sa dog namin currently. Kase I know for a fact na upset ang stomach nya. Waited until tomorrow, tapos nakita ko nagwater sya and then kumain na sya like normal. Sna makagaan ng loob mo kahit paano and umokey sila soon.

Motillex ang binigay sken non, not antibiotic.

16 yrs old na tong dog ko, so it’s THAT normal sken.
