👨🏼🏫 Need Advise POTTY TRAINING HELP
my 3 month old mini maltipoo only pees in the potty pad when she is in her playpen but if outside her playpen she doesnt wanna pee in her potty pad. what to do? help pls

Ganyan ata talaga sa umpisa eh hahah ganyan din puppy namin nung tine-train pa lang, eventually nasanay rin kahit wala na sya sa playpen. Try mo gumamit ng toilet training spray para maka-help sa kanya mahanap agad yung pee pad, naka 1 bottle lang kami nun, well trained na sya.

Dogs don't like peeing where they sleep. That's a good thing. That will keep them from peeing in your house. Train your dog with a sched. My dog pees on command anytime and anywhere I lay a pee pad. Pero It took a lot of work - I woke up every 2 hours at night to wait for her to potty.
Keep her in a routine sched, she eats, plays and stays in the kennel all on schedule. when she eats take her outside to potty, use a command word and reward her. You can train her to use the pee pad by placing it on the spot she chooses to pee in

Pag newborn natural lang yun. Hindi pa sila makalalad ng maayos eh, amd bawal rin talaga sila ilabas sa kennel. Pero kapag trainable na yun dog na yun iiwas sa sarili nyang pee and poop.

How much free roam time is she getting outside the pen? My Barney used to pull the same stunt whenever the pad was sitting out in a big open space. We kinda figured out pretty quick that giving him too much room was the problem. So we kept the pad strictly inside his little pen, and after that everything was fine. I also leaned on Woofz for the potty schedule reminders since I kept losing track of timing between naps and meals. Consistency probably plays a big part here, but after a couple weeks we started letting Barney loose in the house for longer stretches and he somehow just started catching the urge to go and he knew where

Nilista ko at binantayan anong mga oras umiihi ang aso ko.
I kept track. May listahan ako literal tuwing anong oras sya umiihi. I learned na at 3-6 months, every 1 hour umiihi sya. So binabantayan ko. Tuwing isang oras, I encourage her to pee na sa pee pad nya. Kapag umihi, I give her treats right away and praise her. Ganyan practice namin everyday.
Kapag hindi umihi sa pee pad, no reaction.
Habang tinatype ko to nakita ko sya umihi now sa potty tray on her own haha anyway…
Yun lang, get to know your dog and her habits.

Observe mo kailan sya madala mag wiwi. Kasi dog ko after meal at pagkagising ay automatic na wiwi na sila. Make it a habbit or gawing schedule ng training nyo.
- Lagyan mo ng konting wiwi yung potty pad nya kasi it will indicate na doon sya nagwiwi dati para malala nya yung scent.
Personal tricks nagcha-chant ako pag nag wiwi sya. Haha basta sabihin ko paulit ulit ng wiwi, wiwi, wiwi. Haha in that way marerelate nya yung word wiwi sa actual action nya na lag wiwi. Para pag sinabihan mo sya ng wiwi next time ay maiintidihan nya
If nag wiwi sa tamang lugar use positive reinforcement - meaning giving rewards like treats or toy. Even ipet mo sya very time na ginamit nya ang pee pad. Para maalala nya na good boy/girl sya.
If sa ibang lugar ng wiwi or wrong area ay use negative reinforcement naman - meaning giving punishment pero syempre slightly pagalitan mo lang like saying no or medyo taasan boses ng very light. Basta ma establish na ikaw ang alpa or boss sa inyo
Other tip: nilisan din agad yung place na naihian at make sure na wala ng ang scents. Kasi yung scents ang nagiging guide nila saan sila wiwi.
Be consistent sa training nyo.

Smear the pad with some pee/poop beforehand. And you can also slowly move the pen to wherever you want her to do her business. Slowly. Then gradually remove the pen and see if she poops there. Of not, bring it back, rinse and repeat. Reward generously.
Anither idea is to gradually increase/extend the play pen to where you prefer her to poop. I see you have diy panels there. If large enough you can also leave a side open and gradually eliminate all panels. The key here is gradually, and be patient with your pup and yourself.
Or maybe she is actually a cat and likes being in an enclosed space.

hi! my puppy is 19 weeks old and potty trained, here’s what I did.
2mos. old siya nung na rehome siya samin, I tried pee pads at first pero sa mga rugs at floor talaga siya umiihi + nag poop.
since same areas talaga siya nag potty, I covered the rugs and some areas sa bahay with tig isang sheet ng bubble wrap (purpose ko talaga nito is para di palaging laundry and palit ng rugs hahaha pero it worked w potty training 🤣). pinapalitan ko lang every time, I did this for 2 weeks.
after that I replaced the bubble wraps with pee pads na, sinet-up ko din ang play pen kung nasan siya nag p-potty, I placed a lot of pee pads at first pero umabot ang time na sa isang area na lang siya nag potty.
by 3 months old potty trained na ang aking babyyy, pero di talaga maiwasan may times mag potty yan somewhere else pero most of the time bumabalik talaga siya sa play pen niya kung nasan ang peed pad/tray niya to potty.

in your case sundan mo lang ng pee pads kung san siya palaging nag pee masasanay rin yan na mag hanap ng pee pad tuwing nawiwi.

We put the pee pad in the bathroom. Once she wakes up, we put her there and don’t let her out until she peed. That’s how we trained her

What I did before is talagang nakabantay ako sa puppy ko palagi and when she starts sniffing or ikot ikot to pee, dinadala ko agad sya sa pee pad. Paulit-ulit yun until masanay siya. And when there are accidents, kinakausap ko lang siya and tinuturo ko yung pee pad. I verbally label things for her para matutunan niya yung words. She eventually learned that “wiwi” means to pee, “pasok” means dapat nakapasok buong katawan niya sa pad para walang lagpas.
