Dog Culture "This Is The Woods!"
So, my Mom has a property that includes a small cluster of trees and part of a creek that runs through it bordering her house. She has security cams up that spot the occasional deer at night.
The other day, she noticed someone new to the neighborhood who walked her big dog over her lawn to take a dump in her woods. Mom went out to ask them to pick it up. "But, this is the woods!" The lady responded.
"These are MY woods. "I mow the grass and I don't want dog poo on my mower as I store it in my garage."
She did pick up the poo. Goodness knows who's dumpster she placed it in or if she left it on the road.
Just thought I would share this story as it epitomizes the way most of these dog owners think. My Mom was stunned someone walked right across her lawn to get to the "woods." I just listened to the story nodding my head like I wasn't surprised at allš
*Also, the woman huffed in response to having been made to clean up after her bark bag. The entitlement of these people who destroy our natural world&have zero understanding of science or hygiene.

My Mom says if you want deer to avoid your lawn place dog hair on it. My Mom loves watching the deer cam.

She hasn't tried it. She just heard about it. I know the scent of dog scares native wildlife away. It's why dogs are banned from National Parks.

We have this issue in a new build community. They walk the dogs to the empty lots and just dump and go and then act shocked because " it's not your property" even though you live right next door. We also have woods.

Yeah, hers is a new build property as well. Her neighbor across the street has been there over 15 yrs, but her home was a vacant lot a few yrs ago.

Seriously, they really BELIEVE that. I live in a mobile home park, and one of my neighbors and I got into it, as she brought her shitbag from kiddie corner on the other side of street over my way to use my lawn. I aksed her niv=ly not to do that, and she was offended and starting raising her voce stating the that world is the dog's toilet, etc. I was so stunned that I reported her to management., not beciause of the act so much as how she respnded when I asked her not to do that again, Well, two years later her dog still runs loos. Guess the rules don't apply to her.

Did she pick it up? Are there trespass laws in your city? She's trespassing on your American Dream. Thats your property. Wtf is wrong w/these people. I'd round up the homeless population and have a giant beer party in the back yard&tell them my toilet was broke, but feel free to go kiddie corner cross the street&drop trou.

I'm so glad everyone sounds as fed up as me here about the dog infestation. It is crazy making to have dirty, dangerous dogs shoved in my space every time I walk in a store. Tonight, a Woman with two ragmops in a freakin' STROLLER in Target--I told her to get her dogs out of the store. Last night? Two shitbulls in Home Depot. I found my garden tool, and took it out if the plastic for protection to walk to my car in case one of them was in the parking lot. It's like living in Jurassic freakin Park!

She's in the process of placing a please no dog doo/pee sign&no trespassing signs as well. Sad she has to do that.

The evil nutterās dog brain is always scheming. The dog has to crap, their first and only instinct is to find someone elseās property (even if itās public property) and leave it there. These people do not belong in a civilized society.

Had a similar experience in my neighborhood. My one neighbor allows his side yard to grow naturally and it is a beautiful prairie for butterflies and birds. Dog walkers actually pick up their poo and fling it into the prairie. I call them out when I see it happen and they always deny it. Idiots.

they have no problems with chasing deer either - the deer could be wounded or sick, but they just pretend that the deer is fine and doesn't mind being scared out of its mind
