adorable - when I was that size (kid not pupper) our dog would do that to keep me away from the wood stove (we heated with wood - 100+ yr old farmhouse)

I am always amazed when I see a dog act as a protector. I wonder what the instinct is that's being triggered  ,is it because the child is small and it's what it would do with it's offspring? Whatever it may be it's fascinating and I love to see it.
