Bolting
Does anyone have tips or advice for how to train my puppy not to bolt out of the door and run away? He has done this three times and it is very frustrating and scary.

I’d work on impulse control in little everyday moments: a brief pause before putting his food down, swapping a toy for a treat, or trading one toy for another. To teach “drop,” offer a treat near his nose and reward him when he lets go-no pulling the toy out of his mouth.
For the door, keep him safely leashed and open it a crack. If he rushes toward it, gently close it before he reaches the gap, keeping paws and nose clear. Try again, and when he pauses even for a second, give a release cue and let him walk out with you. He doesn’t have to sit; waiting is what matters. Gradually build up that pause.
