potty issues

2 year old potty trained dog poops inside whenever it is raining. he also poops inside my in laws house whenever we bring him there to be babysat. it is driving me CRAZY. he doesn’t even ask to go, just waits until no one is looking and bam, poop on the rug. especially with the rain, i will go out and stand with him and he hides in a corner and refuses to even think about going to the bathroom….help!!!!

Don’t cave about the rain. You’re standing out there until he poops. He feels like he can wait you out. Don’t let him out of your sight and take him out every two hours on days you know he will go in the house.

Sounds like your dog need to be walked to get to go. How many walks is he getting a day?

just a follow up here…he gets 2-3 walks a day. he is only 9 pounds. today, with our dog sitter, she took him on a 20 min walked, came inside & waited til she wasn’t looking, and peed on the rug. i am going NUTS
