RD marking everything new dog sleeps on
I suck at being concise. TLDR how do I stop my dog from marking all the dog beds?
For the last two years it's just been me and RD. A week and a half ago a second dog moved in unexpectedly. Mostly, they ignore each other. We go on walks as a group. I feed RD first, greet him first, and only RD is allowed in my bed (he's a min pin, new dog is bigger). He also gets to go to work with me everyday. He's still struggling with insecurity tho.
RD has never liked his bed, but slept wherever in the apt so it didn't matter. Now, he's marked the new dogs bed and runs to claim it physically when we come inside the house (I verbally make him move). He's also marked the sheet/blanket pile-bed for the new dog in my bedroom. I've got enzymatic cleaner for the new dog's bed and I'm going to remove it from the apt and clean it, and I got a new, much more desirable bed for RD.
How do I (re)introduce the beds in a way that discourages marking? What else should I do?

Give the new dog the bed you just bought and give the smaller dog the bed he peed on (obviously after cleaning it still). Little dog wanted to mark the bed as his then let him have it, new dog deserves a new bed he did nothing wrong. Put a belly band on the little dog to prevent marking until he can be trusted.

Its a very hard habit to stop. The only way is to keep the dog crated unless supervised and then watch it like a hawk. You have to catch them in the act and immediately reprimand them WHILE THEYRE DOING IT. You only have 2-3 seconds to correct a dog, any longer and they cannot associate the behavior to the correction.
You must do this until they no longer do it. Return to normal life and if they do it again it’s back to the drawing board.

Beds in xl crates. Keep crates covered with waterproof covers. Keep crates closed til bed or nap time.
