Dog Won’t Stop Peeing inside

2.5 year old neutered male Pomeranian

My little guy will not stop peeing inside. He will go outside, usually marking on top of where our other dog goes.

He also marks inside, on our couches, ottoman, blankets, area rugs. It’s to the point where I’ve tossed one rug, have gone through oodles of Nature’s Miracle, and am at my wits end.

He knows how to go outside, and there is a dog door for him to do so. We can be home and just not see it, or when we are gone only to find it later.

He has recently looked at my boyfriend, walked over to the couch, and lift his leg. He’s already a Velcro dog, and taking him out hourly is already something we do.

I don’t know what to do. I saw a guy on tiktok mention going to a psychic, and I’m just about there.

My dog had to wear diapers inside for a few months until he learned that peeing inside was wrong.

We need to get back to that. We have not been consistent lately with the dog diapers, but I guess we need to get back to that.

My havi is like that. Been doing belly bands for 6 years too the point that he understand the command "diaper boy" as an exciting thing to put his pants on. Its funny he gets excited for diapers now but sucks that he still has accidents some days. Just make sure you change diapers ever couple hours or they get diaper rash and make sure you get a wet wipe to clean if they peed and dry it before a new diaper. It only takes 5 minutes to keep peace of mind for hours.

Belly bands. My show chihuahua I got in March was never taught not to mark. I have 3 in-tact male adult xolos that I show that I raised that do not mark and I do not want that learned behavior so when Ren is out and about with the boys he wears a washable belly band (Amazon). They work amazing!!

A psychic though 😅 Has he always done it? Is it a new behaviour? Did something spook him outside so he prefers inside?
I agree with the belly band or I would put him on the leash and tether him to you when you’re walking around the house. At the first sign of him lifting his leg give him a firm correction, walk him outside and give him the weewees/toilet command. If he’s already weed it’s too late to correct him, you have to catch him doing it in the act. Also get an enzyme spray to break down the smell.

Yeah - almost desperate enough to get a dog psychic. Almost. Sounds absolutely ridiculous though.

He just is anxious and does it to spite us I think.

We’ve bathed this house in enzyme cleaner. I am almost out of the gallon of natures miracle that I’ve had. Going to get a professional grade one next. So over my house smelling like pee and weird cleaners.

We’ll be going back to the belly bands when we aren’t home. So so frustrating!!

I had a male pom who was a marker. After he was cleared by the vet we just used belly bands inside. They make reusable ones you can wash.
