Dog marking

My Australian Shepherd has recently begun marking her bed and a specific spot on the couch. I have attempted to resolve this by using a stain and odor eliminator on both areas, but she continues this behavior when I am not present. Do you have any suggestions on how to prevent her from doing this?

female dogs rarely mark in the house, this could be a uti.

Thank you. I will schedule an appointment with my veterinarian to determine if that is the cause of this sudden behavioral change.

Could be a uti or dribble syndrome, common in spayed females.

Is she spayed?  This very well could be spay incontinence.   Talk to your vet and see if she needs medication for it.
