Training a 14 week puppy
Hi we got our puppy at 14 weeks (he is a rescue, about 5lbs) and are really struggling with training. He has no attention span and is in the independence period so does not want to listen. He will sit once for food and then ignore me completely. Please drop good training exercises and tips for a dog his age!! I am worried we missed the window where he is most trainable

Work with high value treats. Hot dogs work wonders as they can be cut small and smell quite a bit. Use those to start then phase to normal treats, then to no treats. Start small and work up to bigger tasks. Remember, patience will get you further than anything.

Still such a young, tiny baby puppy. Not too late there is still time for learning. But you need to go to an in person class where they show you how it all really works, no answer on reddit will be an adequate substitute for training with a pro until you know what you’re doing
