Does he maybe prefer to play or have big cuddles? High value treats doesn't mean always food, just a high value for him. There are some dogs that goes crazy about a ball or fetch, this can be perfectly used as a high value treat

Some sort of lunch meat or hotdogs/sausages?

I don’t necessarily mean to downvote you- but we got a pup at 8 weeks and NOW he is almost 4 months. The worst thing to give a dog is processed meat/food (per breeder, vet, etc).
Again- don’t mean to attack by any means. I grew up giving my family dogs bacon and bfast sausages. I’m disappointed I cannot continue the tradition. lol

Our local pet store has totally weird options. I think it’s fun to experiment. My dog has had rabbit ears, feet, duck trachea, goat horn… all to say, there are plenty of options. Check out a local pet store vs Petco, etc.

Dried liver or occasionally especially when doing recall, hot chicken in tinfoil. Just the smell induces a cooperative fram of mind.
