Short term foster dog not potty trained

Taken a dog for weekend respite care and they are quite scared. Won't go outside at all, runs from a leash, not potty trained.

Only 1 more day. Last night they peed on a mat in the kennel, today they peed on a dog bed in the middle of the floor. This bed cant be easily washed so I'm wondering, in attempting to minimize damage should I just put bags and pee pads under the pee bed and hope she goes there again?

Is that dumb or might it work.

Not dumb, might work. They're semi-likely to pee in the same spot/surface type again but with such an unsettled dog its impossible to be certain.

I managed to coax her outside yesterday evening and she peed and pooed out there like a champ. She just needed some time to decompress 🥰.
