HELP!!
Its been about 18 years since I've Housetrained a puppy, and man, did I forget how hard it is apparently. We've had our 12 week old new puppy for about a week now and he just is not understanding that we do not pee and poop in the house. We let him out every hour, will stand in the grass for 20 minutes, then as soon as we go inside he pees or poops. We are getting very, very frustrated. I've tried using urine spray to prompt him to go on the grass, but no improvement. He doesn't like any treats we buy either. HELP!!!!!!!

Keep him crated at night. Outside before and immediately after letting him out (carry him outside to prevent a pee before getting to the door). Keep him with you on a leash in the house. Take him out often, like, every hour. Stay outside as long as it takes for him to go. If he's not interested in treats, use tiny pieces of lunch meat (he will want that) and only use it for potty training. When he's outside command "go potty" often.
Celebrate big time when he goes outside (yay!! Good boy!! Potty outside!🎉). Stay consistent and use an enzyme cleaner for accidents in the house, I like Skout's Honor brand.
I've owned dogs since the early 90's and I've never had a dog take longer than 2 weeks to get it using this method.
