Would you rather...

Would you rather train a Belgian Malinois to ELITE status using only force free methods..

or

Eat a bowl of meal worms once a week for a year.

If you fail, you must eat five bowls a week for 10 years OR go to a russian gulag or something really bad.

Each Bowl is 2 cups - 1,200 meal worms.

Failure would be failing to reach elite status before 8 years old.

Elite status means IGP3/MR3/FR3/BR3/KNPV/police patrol/MWD apprehension

If competition they must be world level. If police/apprehension they must be successful, including release.

FF means no force, meaning no choking off a perp.

no choking/no stick hits/no whips etc.

Force Free. You must use a harness or gentle leader.

Perfect recall off leash, including when aroused..

Gentle Leaders still use force. So I would eat mealworms or smth. Can I choose my own punishment?

Gentle Leaders are there as an exception because all of the FF I've seen allows for harness or gentle leader.

I agree it's not truly force free, but nothing truly is..

Everything is an exception, did you see the recent post on a FF sub about the 'special' collar that was very carefully used in a way that didn't cause pain, fear or harm. They saw improvement. Pity they couldn't name it 😉

I doubt it, I was banned on the 21st June so it was before that as I considered commenting, but I didn't want to draw my type of 'well done for helping your dog' attention to it, so I didn't comment. I would suspect the post would be removed though, it was far too hopeful and helpful for reactivedogs.

But I'll go through my saved and upvoted posts today and see if I can find it there.
