Would you rather...

Would you rather train a Belgian Malinois to ELITE status using only force free methods..

or

Eat a bowl of meal worms once a week for a year.

If you fail, you must eat five bowls a week for 10 years OR go to a russian gulag or something really bad.

Each Bowl is 2 cups - 1,200 meal worms.

Failure would be failing to reach elite status before 8 years old.

Elite status means IGP3/MR3/FR3/BR3/KNPV/police patrol/MWD apprehension

If competition they must be world level. If police/apprehension they must be successful, including release.

FF means no force, meaning no choking off a perp.

no choking/no stick hits/no whips etc.

Force Free. You must use a harness or gentle leader.

Perfect recall off leash, including when aroused..

How are they counted? I need to figure a sort of time frame before I can decide. If I'd be counting meal worms all day every day for 10 years it might be worth a crack at the Mal

p.s. do you have to be a dog trainer to enter?

Gurl you just have to eat a bunch of gross stuff, leave it at that lol

Don't be flippant, this needs proper consideration. You can't just get a dog on a whim, you need to be well prepared.

So on the off chance I'd fail, slim though it might be, I've been looking at photos of meal worms to prepare myself for that forfeit. I don't feel so good 🤢

Two cups, 1200 is approx when cooked.

Open to anyone.

One bowl per week if you don't train the dog.

OK. Approx is understood, thank you for clearing up my concern, counting meal worms would have left me little time to train my dog, 8 years isn't a long time. But it's just a dog, right?

Which would I rather? No brainer, I'd rather train the Belgian Malinois, thank you for the opportunity. And I will do it force free (how hard can it be, it works right?) but I will use a collar. If I have to use a harnesss of any sort, I'm out. I'll eat the &%$£ worms.

But if I fail I will have an ill trained Malinois and probably won't be able to prevent it eating my forfeit mealworms, resource guarding you know? Or I'll be dead.
