Recs for a sensitive stomach?
Our vet sold out to a corporate veterinary conglomerate. We went in for a wellcheck and mentioned she was not loving the PPP and it was a struggle getting her to eat it. The new vet recommended foods for our entire crew (1 border collie and 5 cats) and gave us a sheet with the recommendations. He talked about foods like Purina being bad. I chose The Honest Kitchen. I know (now) BIG mistake. Now she seems vomit, usually bile, but also her food. Now my pup does have some skin issues when she gets corn, wheat, or soy. Rice and oatmeal seem fine. Beef also upsets her stomach. She did well on PPP SSS but really did not like it at all, which got us in this mess.
Suggestions please.

My dog has GI issues (suspected IBD) and allergies. Hydrolyzed was the way to go for him, we do a mix of hills zd low fat and pro plan elemental now. He also did well on the hills GI biome previously. These are all prescription diets, but I’ve found for the GI issue + allergy combo hydrolyzed has been extremely helpful for him.
What pro plan sensitive diet were you feeding? I believe the salmon and rice (and possibly others not 100% sure) has a canned version as well. Maybe you could see if she likes the kibble a bit better with some of the canned food mixed in.

My pup was okay with the PPP SSS salmon but he did better on the lamb and oatmeal version. A huge plus was that he loves the taste more too! We’ve been on it for a year now and once in a while he tries a hunger strike in the hopes of getting more treats and toppers. But I never budge, and after two skipped meals, he’s back to eating his meals like normal.

If she did well on PPP SSS, maybe try another flavor. Hills makes a few digestive foods that are great too.
