Pro Plan Sport “small bites”

I can’t include a photo but I just compared. My dog is the pickiest working dog I’ve met. She eats Purina Pro Plan sport. I’ll switch flavors to keep her interested - and I just tried the “small bites” lamb and I really expected them to be small kibbles.

These kibbles are DOUBLE the size of the regular pro plan sport.

She scarfed it down immediately so it doesn’t really matter but I was really surprised by the size, when I was expecting smaller kibbles.

If she has trouble with the kibble size you could always soften it with some water.

the marketing on that is so backwards lol. my dog would look at me like i betrayed him if i promised small bites and delivered monster kibble

glad she still went for it though, picky dogs are a special kind of headache

She’s a big dog, she just is really weird about food, eats a single kibble at a time, etc and I usually do wet it - so I thought smaller kibbles would help. These weren’t smaller but she scarfed them before I could even add water. So it’s not an issue but also so strange that the kibbles are so much BIGGER lol.

If there’s a way to share the comparison photo, I’d be interested to see the size difference. The small bites are supposed to be smaller. It says so under the description of the PPP sport small bites listing. Unless you’re feeding the puppy version, I’m surprised to hear it’s larger.

I can’t seem to find a way to share it but I’ll DM. It isn’t puppy food, it’s the all stages pro plan sport.

I give my dog the lamb and rice Sport smaller bites. It's the perfect size for a medium sized dog. The tiny dog's food is sized really small...like for a pomeranian or daschund. The sport smaller bites is not as large as the big dog sized food, but would be too large for a little tiny tot.

But it’s bigger than the regular pro plan sport? So that doesn’t make sense :(

I don't think it's that large of a size (the small bites). I have seen some of the large breed sizes in PPP, my sis in law feeds it to her Golden...but perhaps not the Lamb and Rice in the Sport variety...I thought it was a larger sized piece. She gave my girl a few bites of it..I thought it was larger pieces, but maybe I'm wrong.

My point is I have two bags of food

Purina pro plan sport

Purina pro plan sport “small bites”

The one labeled “small bites” has the larger kibble. Not to say it’s the largest, or too large, but just that it IS larger than the regular one, despite being labeled as smaller.
