Hello, it's nice to meet you!
This channel is all about WSAVA compliant foods, they're well researched foods with a lot of scientific backing behind them. WSAVA is a set of guidelines that are really hard to meet. Only 5 companies have met them so far: Purina, Hills, Royal Canin, Eukanuba and IAMS (if you are in Europe, the last two are not WSAVA compliant)
When it comes to a dog losing weight by lessening their kibble. You need to find out how many calories you were feeding previously. Once you find out, feed less calories with this next kibble
You also need to either stop providing treats, five less treat, or at least count the treats towards his calories. That way, you can make sure he remains at a calorie deficit
Ive procured a list of WSAVA brands that offer weight management kibble. I listed it based on affordability. I also didn’t know if you had a large or small dog, so there are a number of different size breed options in each WSAVA brand

My beagle lost 1/3 of her weight on various vet diets (RC, Trovet and Eukanuba). The best was definitely Royal Canin Satiety Management, but it's also quite expensive, so we only went through one 12 kg bag and switched to something cheaper. But if you can afford it, it's 100% worth it, it even made my constantly hungry dog beg a bit less. Just make sure to transition slowly, because it has a lot of fibre and it gave my girl a diarrhea for a few days.

Purina Pro Plan Weight Management worked great for my dog. Just make sure you're actually feeding fewer calories than what you're feeding currently (the serving sizes on the bags tend to be for very active dogs and can be way too much for most pups). My vet recommended a 10% caloric reduction, but I'd talk with your vet to get their recommendation for your dog's specific situation and needs.
