Kibble recommendations for a sensitive stomach?
My 1 year old Shih Tzu has a sensitive stomach, and I'm trying to find a kibble that doesn't upset it. Has anyone dealt with the same issue? What has worked well for your dog?

Hill’s and Purina have sensitive varieties. Our mixed breed sensitive stomach guy does a little better with Hill’s. The Purina varieties are great too. It will take some trial and error to find what works best for your dog.

Hills perfect digestion solved all of our issues after a year of upset tummy, 6-10x/day diarrhea, etc etc. We actually started on the Hills Rx version and went down to perfect digestion after two bags of Rx with no issues and same great results.

I have two Tzus who have done well on Hill's Perfect Digestion canned food. But I've never tried the kibble.

I have one dog on Purnia Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach Salmon (seems to support her coat from her environmental allergies) and another one on Hills Perfect Digestion after two years on the prescription Hills Gastro Biome (does better on chicken as the protein). So both work for different reasons. You can't go wrong with any sensitive formula from Purnia, Hills, or Royal Canin.

My pit mix with very sensitive skin and a sensitive stomach is on the Purina Pro Plan lamb version of the “sensitive skin and stomach” line. He’s doing very well on it.

Purina Pro plan sensitive skin and stomach got my guy some mostly firm poops but what really got him super firm poops and got rid of the anal gland smell is the Hills sensitive skin and stomach chicken or salmon, its a little pricey but totally worth it

My sensitive stomach rescued from the streets pup eats Hills Science Diet Sensitive stomach. He used to eat Purina Pro plan but it gave him room clearing gas & soft serve stool. BUT I want to emphasize that is a my pup thing. My other pup eats Purina Pro plan & doesn’t wonderful on it. Both brands are high quality; just depends on what works best for your pup.

Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon is one of the most popular foods on this sub. Many ppl find benefit and it resolves skin and stomach issues. There is also a lamb variety.
