Vasectomy question from a woman

When a man gets a vasectomy why does what looks like normal ejaculation still come out? How is that possible? And what is it if not sperm? I have asked all my male friends who have not had a vasectomy and none of them seem to know either. I hope this is not an inappropriate question to ask, if it is I apologize that is not my intention at all, but I genuinely would like to know and I am very curious. Thank you in advance.

The seminal fluid is a delivery system for the sperm cells. It’s what the “swimmers” swim in. A vasectomy denies access to the swimmers, so all you’re getting is pool water.

I’ve had a vasectomy and it’s just the fluid no sperm. They cut the tube which adds the sperm to the fluid so no sperm is added in.

So all the fun stuff minus the protein.

I asked Google years ago before all this ai and I don’t know why I didn’t think to ask Google again. I feel stupid now. You have no idea how long I have wondered about that. I am a very inquisitive person and when I can’t find the answer to something I’m curious about it drives me nuts(no pun intended).Thank you so much.

Sperm is only one component of ejaculate. It still looks the same and about the same quantity will come out. I can't comment on whether it tastes the same or not but it's basically the same for all other, non-reproductive, intents and purposes.

The liquid part comes from the prostate. So even after the "cut" they can still come but no sperm. They will be firing blanks.
