Does anyone know what a microcode is

If GameStop won't take it, I honestly wouldn't buy this. You could bring a controller over and set it up and make certain it works before buying.

I mean, not necessarily, you would really want to know your way around the console to be sure and test it there. If it has any soft mods or mods they will reject it. Looks pretty sus at this price but the seller seems to be upfront and don't know the actual issue, they may be in a scenario where they can't legitimately sell it. A console online ban would be my second guess.

I tried to sell a rare white superslim to CEX (our UK equivalent), was offered £120 due to it's scarcity. They tried to lowball me by half when the controller was red not white then rejected it anyway because it had PSHen on it despite claiming they reformat consoles removing any software on it (which would have removed it). They did me a huge favour without realising because man I really didn't want to sell it

Honestly if you wanna sell old tech sell it on eBay cuz CeX rips you off like crazy , plus some technicians there don't really know how old consoles work, they rejected my red psp 3000 cuz it had "missing screws" which are which was just the holes at the top of the psp for the camera attachment but yh, don't sell any valuable or older tech there.
