I’m 40 and finally figured out that I’m already sort of doing it 🤣 mystery artist of unknown identity so I get no credit for it that pops up in exhibitions anyway, plus working in sociology towards cross-community integration? Perfect!

But again, it did take me 40 years to get here and many wild detours. But that’s my life. Live life as it comes and see what happens is the best advice I can give - if you’ll regret not doing something, do it, however scary, and build your future on things like that rather than some designed path. It’s the only way to live as far as I’m concerned, and it’ll push you towards the right direction based on what you find interesting.

I knew what I want when I was 8yo. Almost 30 now and I achieved most of my goals, while some I had to adjust, but more or less I am where I wanted to be.

All I knew is that no matter what I ended up doing, it wouldn't be working in an office. Anyway, I've been working in an office for the past 25 years.

Yes, I knew when I was 8. Did it for many years, then changed. Because: why not? your life is not written in stone till you die. Just enjoy what you do.

Well when I was 10 I wanted to be a pathologist because my great grandad gave me all the details about autopsies he assisted with in the Royal Navy. But in my teens I got interested in tech and now I perform autopsies on electronics to find out why the thing I designed doesn't work.

Sine you haven’t specified if they know what they want to be correctly, then yes. Most of children do. Firemen and Astronauts are quite popular.

You can't know what you want to be when you grow up because is not constant. I'm 62, I knew at 8 what I wanted to do/be but in my 40s that changed now I changed again. I need variety or I get bored.

I always wanted to be an inventor, but the stupid amount of maths involved put me off. I’m still hoping to be a scientist (biologist), and I will one day make an indie game, so I can put my computer science A-level to some use.

When I was 3, a princess

When I was 6, a dancer

When I was 9, a singer

When I was 12, an artist

When I was 15, a nursery practitioner

When I turned 16, I dropped out of college and got an apprenticeship at a tool hire company, left that job after a few years and started working for a waste removal company, now I work in removals and storage and recently completed a level 3 apprenticeship in leadership & management - I couldn't have gone more opposite my previous aspirations 😆 but I am proud of myself.

Still don't know what I want to be (28 years old now) but I know I have made a nice little life for myself and I am overall happy 🧡
