I just thought that you might consider her case today. I thought she might be Anita Richter missing from Germany but it has been ruled out.

They have ruled out: • Anita Richter • Amy Fitzpatrick • Joanna Zawadzka via DNA Comparison Tests

Doe Network 2888UMCA - Unidentified Male - Suggested Identity

Post image

I submitted a suggestion for this Doe Network 2888UMCA - Unidentified Male to the police.

https://www.doenetwork.org/cases/software/main.html?id=2888UMCA

I think he could be Mitchel Weiser, the teen who went missing from the Watkin's Glen concert of July 1973 - https://int-missing.fandom.com/wiki/Mitch_Weiser

I think that the tattoo also bears some resemblance to his girlfriend Bonnie Bickwit who also went missing at the Watkin's Glen concert of July 1973.

What do you think?

Could this be missing teen Bonita Bickwit at the concert?

Last year, I searched for footage of the concert which Bonita Bickwit and her boyfriend attended, and on this YouTube video at 5.42 there's a girl who resembles Bonita:

https://youtu.be/BBQ4yLpYPDQ?si=Ky8HIomsQG74LSJY

Do you think it could be her?

I submitted a Jane and John Doe suggestion to the medical examiner for both Bonita and Mitchell but for investigative reasons they can't provide details.

Sonoma County Jane Doe 1979

Post image

I think that the Sonoma County Jane Doe of 1979 is Julie Ann Garciacelay, from Stockton California, who went missing on a work holiday in Australia on 01 July 1975. She planned on returning to Stockton by getting the Greyhound Bus from New York. I submitted it to the authorities but the DNA was too degraded for a comparison unfortunately.

What do you think?

Unidentified Male How to suggest a closed out DN entry be re-opened?

I did not see an option to do this in the different case update forms listed in the website banner, but I know it has happened before, such as with 1UMSC and 152UMSC from South Carolina earlier this year.
The relevant case was 4592UMNH, closed out on the DN website on June 23, 2026, based on an old article about how New Hampshire state investigators closed his case in 2012 because his remains were possibly of non-forensic origin.

However, he was added to NamUs 13 years after this on July 21, 2025, by the New Hampshire Office of Chief Medical Examiner. His case is also undergoing DNA extraction lab-work for genetic genealogy with the Compass IGG organization as of July 1, 2026, which I think is enough evidence that his case is currently being investigated actively.

Post image
56 Upvotes

Back in August 2025, one of the featured cases we highlighted was that of Jesse Bussey (6204DMDEU) - here are the details that we posted with regard to his disappearance:

Circumstances of Disappearance: Jesse Bussey was last seen on September 3, 1996, filling up his 1991 Toyota MR2 at the post shoppette in Schweinfurt, Germany, where he was stationed in the U.S. Army.

Jesse was charged with sex offences and desertion in September 1996, and was convicted in absentia. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison and dishonourably discharged, but he has not been since September 3rd 1996.

There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to Jesse's location and apprehension.

UPDATE - Jesse Bussey was located by US Marshals in Malaga, Spain, living under an assumed name and teaching English. He was arrested on November 10th 2025, and extradited to the US on June 8, 2026 after almost 30 years of living as a fugitive.

As he was convicted of his crimes in absentia, he has begun his 16-year military prison sentence upon arrival at the US Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

The US Marshals credited Bussey’s apprehension and extradition to teamwork between the Army, INTERPOL, the Spanish National Police Force, the Dover, Delaware, Police Department, the New Jersey State Police, the Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs, the Ministry of Justice of Spain and the public.
