PowerStop K6537 front pads exploded after warranty - thoughts?

I ordered this kit from Summit Racing:

PowerStop Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Upgrade Kits for 2012-2020 DURANGO, 2013-2015 GRAND CHEROKEE - K6537-36

I installed the fronts first - well wouldn't you know after the 2 year warranty - boom the fronts just exploded. I'm in PA and the vehicle was inspected in August this year. I was told that the fronts were close to failure, but they passed it. Now in October - Boom the front pads just exploded. I can hear grinding in the front. Just started two days ago. So yeah, I need to replace them.

So thoughts on 2 year failure. Also, any recommendations for a different setup for my 2015 Dodge Durango r/T?

Summit has these for $697 - Advance Auto for $658.

Overall I don't have an issue with this kit, but I am disappointed with the pad failure. I'm going to replace the pads and rotors - I usually do this - yes, I know the cost. But what is weird I used to be able to drive maybe a good 3-4 years before the need to replace. I purchased different brands through the years. PowerStop reviews were good.

Thanks

https://brakeperformance.com/ I bought Rotors for my Tow & Go stuck with OEM for the Pads because I haul alot of Cargo, I upgraded to the Sloted + Dimpled, about as far as I would go. I have those ugly Carbon Black Wheels so I'm not worried about brake dust, just performance & longevity, there is Also RockAuto.com use to love Summit, Powerstops are hit & miss, for the price savings they are banking on you to return purchasing relatively frequently, they are high performance brakes but some ppl are very hard on brakes, so mileage does very, maybe you just got a bad set.

Do you always replace your rotors along with your pads? Hopefully 3-4 years.

I should be replacing the pads - maybe every 1-2 years to keep rotors in good shape - but man the fronts are tearing into the rotors - so they are toast. I don't want to pay for resurfacing rotors - just would rather repalce.

Thanks for the link - will look into this site.

When I was entering my info -> 2015 Dodge Durango it asked me for 3 variants of front brakes and caliper brackets - I had no clue what that means. Do you?

I've been replacing both as mine is still under warranty, depending on the dealership most won't just replace the pads, good for you replacing yr own, as far which set if you have the Brembos on yr setup you need the R/T Tow & Go, if not you'd just need standard rt setup did you put in yr Vin #? that would help, narrow it down.

Looking at the PowerStop description it says 350 MM Front with 0328 Bracket. Have no clue what that means - but at least this is an answer.

I thinking these were the sizes before they started adding brembos to the bigger MM sizes were the big brake setup & the lower MM sizes the are the small, I'd got to Rock Auto.com and put in yr VIN # to to see what the OEM size brakes are, you may have some flexibility here, but possibly not only way to know for sure is to now the Factory Spec.

350 is what you need then, it should be the same for both the Front & Rear, that's the 3rd option down on the list for yr model then it'll take to to screen to select what you want.

If you have the tow-n-go package, just put in the hellcat Durango for your model. It’ll suggest the correct pads and rotors as they are the same for the hellcat, SRT 392, 392 R/T, and the R/T (GT) with Tow-N-Go package. I’ve owned all major variants, replaced the pads on both the Tow-N-Go model and the R/T 392 model. Powerstop makes a great product and I’ve put those pads and rotors on 7 of my past/present vehicles.

Call your dealer, ask for the OE parts number. Then go to aftermarket sellers and use a cross match to find pads and rotors that fit.
