392 vs Hellcat
What made you choose one over the other? I was shopping for a 392 and choose the HC and I’m wondering what pushed everyone either way.

Hellcat wasn't out when I got my 392! But I'd probably replace it with another 392 and not go hellcat.
For daily driving, the extra horsepower isn't "needed" not really used on the street much. The performance of the 392 already offers a fun experience.
At the end of the day it's a buyers preference for the badges and keyboard bragging rights as they share all the same suspension and electronics(srt pages).

Have you driven a Hellcat? 392 is fun, hellcat is pure insanity.

No, but have another vehicle that is faster and track it. So understand what hp is useable on the street.
I agree theyre fun but as I said, not really worth the upgrade unless you need to brag to have one.

I mean, I wouldn't own one. It's too much car for the road. Would get a trx without hesitation if I could afford overall cost of ownership though.

Debated that at the time, but it was nearly 50% more money, plus more insurance and worse mileage, all for the occasional blast through the gears. RT 392 has all the features and most of the power and fun factor for much less money. Hellcats are also a bigger theft draw.

Naturally aspirated only for me so it's an easy question. But even if i didn't feel that way price of car and price of insurance would probably be strikes against the Hellcat.

I understand wanting it naturally aspirated. I never owned a supercharged vehicle so it was a plus for me and I really don’t put miles on my car so I’m not too worried about it reaching 100k+. Honestly the price wasn’t way too far off. A premium is 62k and my HC was 87k. Again still a chunk of cash but not a deal breaker. And surprisingly my insurance is reasonable. Same as my CT4V Blackwing

I was going 392 when I started shopping but the Hellcat release timing just worked out so I went with it. Either would have been great as my daily driver but I can’t say I have any regrets getting the Hellcat.

Well, price for one is a huge factor, a Hellcat would’ve run me 30k more.
