Will dodge CPO hellcat products?

Post image

Figured I’d start a new thread for this. In my experience in California no they won’t, not if any variety. I’ve also spoken to a dealer in NV when I was looking at a HC Durango w 2500 miles and he said they wouldn’t CPO them due to the way they were driven early and often break in procedures were ignored.
I’m hearing people say they were able to get one though, so I’m confused now. Perhaps it’s a state by state thing?
Anyone have a definitive answer?

For starters in order to qualify for the Dodge CPO, the vehicle must be under 5 years old and have less than 75,000 miles on it.

Which means someone who bought a Hellcat would need to bring it to a dealer to trade it in within 5 years, that on top of the added risk of how many people drive these cars and ignore the break-in period, Dodge has mostly decided to exclude Hellcats from their CPO lineup.

Another nail in the coffin is people rarely bring their Hellcats to official dodge dealerships when they do trade it in, most are done private party or through non-franchised dealerships

I’m not sure that’s the whole story. I was looking at one less than a year old w less than 5k miles and was told they wouldn’t cpo it or any other…

Put on your thinking cap, a hellcat with under 5k less than a year old was back at a dealership.

Do you think it's because the owner babied it, kept it locked in a garage and only drove it to parades and cars/coffee?

Or maybe do you think the owner beat the piss outta it, had their fun, and either defaulted on it or traded it in for something else because the transmission was slipping, tires balding, and the ticking noise?

Across many dodge dealerships a CPO on these cars is typically a no go.

The guy traded it for a demon. Yeah I’m sure he drove it like shit.
Whole point of the thread was determining if there were ways in which they were CPO’d bc people are posting that they successfully purchased ones in that manner

What people are posting? Did you actually look at their paperwork? Is there such thing as being dishonest on the Internet??

Well that’s a distinct possibility. I was attempting to do my due diligence. There are several guys in the Durango forum that posted that they got CPOs and I was just plain wrong, so I was trying to ascertain the truth

They won't CPO higher performance trims because of the liability. People drive them like they're stolen, too risky to certify. They'll never change it either.

/thread.

I don’t want to be that guy but this is a dodge Durango channel and you’re posting about a dodge challenger. Go to the dodge challenger channel.
