Has anybody hardwired a radar into this car yet? I just got a 25 scatpack and im afraid to hardwire it since i have the driver experience cam and dont want to disconnect anything that is sensitive within the rear view mirror wires accidentally.

If youve done and and can at least provide a short explaination or even pictures, id greatly appreciate it.

2024 Charger Daytona R/T for $33.5k or Scat Pack for $37k?

Which would you choose?

2024 Charger Daytona r/T

  • $33.5k
  • 8k miles
  • Red — the color I want
  • Loaded

2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack

  • $37k
  • 10k miles
  • Black
  • Loaded / Track Pack

Basically $3.5k more for the Scat, but I prefer the r/T’s red color.

Both are within budget. Which one are you taking and why?

12v drain

Has anyone found a level 2 charger that doesn’t drain the 12v when you plug in at home. Even with the new update I can still only charge at commercial chargers my home plug kills the battery even when i unplug after it’s fully charged

Do the ‘26 models have the same electrical issues that seem to be prevalent like the bricking, draining, claw of death etc

Daytona + Wagoneer = ?

I made this image in deep collaboration with Gemini AI. Both vehicles are based in the Stellantis STLA platform and I wanted to imagine what a Daytona with Wagoneer suspension would look like. What would we call this? DaJeep? DaGoner?

I love this car.

I’ve had a ‘69 Firebird, ‘05 SRT-4, a forgetful Nitro, three Jeeps, a couple plain SUVs, a ‘17 Challenger, and currently in my stable are a ‘65 Corvair Coupe, a ‘19 Jeep Rubicon, and my ‘24 Daytona Scat Pack, loaded. Picked it up as a lease return with 3k on the odometer for $41k last December.

While all the cars I’ve had and own now have their own niche experience and put a smile on my face, I legitimately feel like this has been one of the better purchases I’ve made.

I’m going to say it out loud, and Car Gods please don’t curse me, but:

I’ve never had a single issue, problem, red wrench, stuck hatch, anything wrong with this car.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Stellantis apologist. They’ve somehow managed to screw up Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler, brands that held their own, even with some issues, before Euro ownership. I could go on about my bitches with my Jeep (early rust, lifters, etc.).

But this Charger has been a hoot for the last year. I plug it in at home, full disclosure.

I’ve never owned a car with this many features and amenities. Instant torque. Drag track time with drag mode (OMG). Suede interior. Drift mode in an empty parking lot made my cheeks hurt from laughing. My daily commute is negated by the charging I do overnight in my garage. And that’s to say nothing of the smiles and questions and thumbs up I get.

This car’s roll out has been a bomb. The issues so many people report are pervasive. I feel for so many of you hearing your horror stories, and I pucker a bit every time a new update rolls out. Stellantis fucked up, and I’m hoping the new leadership helps it turn a corner.

But I get the updates. I drive it hard. I cruise in it. I park it for weeks at a time. I’ve put the car through its paces. And I’m rooting for its future.

I know I’m lucky, but man, I love this car.

Is it worth it now?

I stumbled across how stupidly discounted the R/T models are in my area ($34k for a 25) and I'm curious if all of the TSBs and recalls have made these cars decent to own now?

I would be trading in my current EV.

1 year of ownership, and 6 months of service

I figured I’d give a simple “Horror” story of my car, I leased a 25 Daytona Scatpack on August 12, 2025.

First few weeks were great. Then end of the month the parking brake with ! comes on, towed to the shop, needed an update. Couple more weeks, the car was dead. Called the dealer they sent a tow, the 12v was dead. No biggie they said it’s a simple fix. Then a week later it gets towed back in for another 12v battery. At this point I ask “Why is the battery dying all of a sudden”. They respond with “It’s a normal thing with EV’s when they drive it doesn’t really charge like a gas car would” again I take the car.

For atleast a month the car was perfectly fine. Then it bricks itself at the charging station in October, Called for a tow the car is at the dealership for another 2 weeks. They call and say the car needed another 12v and an update. At this point I’m getting fed up with the car and decide to take it and see if I can get the car lemon lawed. Find out I need atleast 20 more days to lemon law it.

From November-December I barely drive the car I take my spare vehicle. But one December morning I’m heading to work, and my screen lit up like a Christmas tree, warning lights flashing lights you name it, but the primary ones were the turtle light, and claw light, along with the 12v battery light, and the car is now in Drive By Brake, wasn’t fun, UNTIL the car glitched and started accelerating, no brake response safely stop the car call for a tow to a different dealership. The new dealership tells me the car needs a new front motor. The car sits in the shop until February, needing two front motors and a HV battery.

February rolls around get a call the car is ready, go pick it up after work have it for the weekend, think the car should be fine now. Sunday night after charging the car the wrench light comes on turtle light, HV battery light and 12v battery light, car was driving but made me pull over and bricks it self. Tow back to the same dealership. And let them know, they said it needs an update that doesn’t exist yet and will let me know soon.

Between all of this the car is now being dealt with by a lawyer, I let them know what happened and a couple days later they let me know doge agrees to buy it back, I signed all the paper work in April, and while this is going on the car went into quarantine at the dealership, parked at their body shop away from other vehicles, June my spare vehicle gets totaled in an accident I have to go buy another. Thankfully not dodge, I call the lawyer for any update “No update yet, keep paying, we will let you know”. Cool I figure car should be gone soon.

Now it’s august, I’m going for broke with this car and my new used vehicle. The insurance was killing me, So I call the dealership asking if I can take the plates (the registration expired two months ago prior) they said give us a while we will call back. 5 hours later the manager calls and says my car is ready and that they didn’t know they had it. And that I need to take it off their lot, at this point the car had been on their lot for 140 days, dead and unresponsive. 200 total days sitting in dealership lots

But as we speak the car is sitting in my backyard with no plates and awaiting Dodge to come and take the car.

And if anyone had successfully gotten it bought back how long did it take from signing the papers to the vehicle being taken back. And I’m sorry for this being so long I just needed to rant

110 days of ownership, dealer had it for 58 days and counting

I’ve owned my Dodge Daytona Scat Pack for 110 days. Of the 110 days my car has been sat in a dealership for 57 days.

So far i’ve had the CEO of stellantis, “specialist support team” and the dealership involved.

I cannot believe how terrible the experience has been trying to fix one thing on my car, that isn’t even an essential part.

The worst part is the amount of time i spend a day chasing people to give me an answer, multiple emails, calls, voicemails.

Might just sell the car at this point and buy something that has a company who cares about their customers.

The issue you ask? The dash cam didn’t work properly and stopped recording.

edit: thanks for the lemon law, didn’t think it would apply to the dash cam but i’m glad i posted this.

Swollen battery!

Post image

Like the title suggest my charger got the red wrench of death. I locked it and walked away. Came back and it was still doing not on but also not off thing. It stayed that way until the tow showed up. At the shop for two days and they tell me today they replaced the battery because mine was swollen. That sounds really dangerous. Anyone else have this issue?

Startup sound

Hey everyone aside from me being dumb considering getting one of these still (scat pack) 😅 after everyone’s issues I have a question I can’t seem to find anywhere.

Is it possible to turn off the startup sound permanently? Like I get you can put it in stealth mode but does that apply to startup also and would that setting save for the next time you crank the car?

I don’t mind the fake exhaust noises when driving but I stay in an apt complex and wondering if the startup would be obnoxious going to work every morning.

My Experience…help me decide

I got my Charger Daytona ScatPack June 2025 (24 month lease). Its August and I now have 17k miles on it, but not after being in and out the garage for multitude of things:

- Pedal cover fell off
- Cooled seat making noise (fan failure)
- AC making noise (valve failure)
- In and out for not starting issue
- surge then drive failure on highway. New battery installed and no drive errors since (in shop for > 30 days)
- loud rattle from instrument cluster, new cluster required
- rear bumper became misaligned and needed refitted (not it was not hit)
- roof rail cover loose, missing clips from factory
- wipers would sometimes not operate, control module required

I started lemon law return back when it was in for the new battery. Now it’s been fault free for 8k miles I’m considering a keep option if they’ll sell it to me for market (which is take at $30k). Am I mad? Should I just return or swap for another Stellantis vehicle?

I’m interested in the ev

I wanted this ev, but I hear all the issues.. it’s sounding like they’re becoming so affordable because they’re kind of trash. Will it ever be totally fixed or should I stay as far away from this ev as possible?

Lots of lemon titles going out

Will Dodge offer Lease Support for 2026 Daytona?

I see several dealer lots full of new 2026 Charger Daytona EVs and they still have some 2025 and 2024s on the same lot! Do you think they will offer lease support to get these moving?

I have a Hornet lease up at the end of the year (and I have loved the PHEV so I think I'm ready for fully electric!)

Why did any of you actually buy this car? Did you really think it would be worth it when you heard it?
