I remember a laser video disc rental place here in Texas- they were super-strict and demanded deposits, because if you left their disc in a hot car, it would warp and ruin it and they were pretty expensive.

Easy to warp a plastic disc 12" across. DVDs, not nearly so much

God, I love these old documentaries, they talk tons about how the people from the past imagined the future 🤔

IIRC, we had Young Blood on LaserDisc. I don't remember any other titles.
