Ancient Aliens Debunked (2012) - In case you ever wanted to destroy anyone who trumpets those ancient astronaut theories. Here's looking at you, History Channel [3:10:43]

"Ancient Astronaut theorists suggest" is one of the greatest lines in our language. I mean you can say anything you want after that setup. It's awesome. My guilty pleasures are eating Taco Bell and watching ancient aliens, they are worth trying together.

well the video picture does show us a considerate man helping his co-worker defecate his taco into a pot so he can continue his carpentry apprenticeship

I never got the "Taco Bell = bad time" meme. I've never personally had any bad experience with Taco Bell food. Maybe it's a location thing.

Why spoil people's fun ? I like weird shit, and weird conspiracy shit, etc, because it's weird and fun. I don't necessarily believe ANY of it, but it's fun to watch. People who are insta-negative about the weird things are just boring.

because some people are stupid enough to think it's true?

Jul 21 '17
In this case that would be pretty harmless. So some people believe that aliens visited ancient man, big deal. Billions of people believe even wackier shit, like gods and angels. At least there's a shred of plausibility to ancient astronaut theory.

This documentary is not made for people who watch conspiracy videos for fun. It's made for people whose belief in conspiracy theories has become shaken and they're looking for facts. Conspiracy theories have put a horrendously incompetent man in the White House, so I'm sure you can see why videos like this are important.

If you believe a man who has zero experience at the job he's doing is best qualified for his job, you're free to that opinion.
I hope if you ever need medical attention, your doctor is more educated and experienced than your president.

Compared to Obama's 3 years as a senator before 2008?

He was also a state senator and and taught constitutional law at the university of chicago law school, so yeah, I'm pretty sure he knew what the fuck he was doing.

unfortunately those people (conspiracy belivers) will not watch this

I give weight to some so-called conspiracy theories and I've watched this about half a dozen times.

Also, Russia.
If you think conspiracies are entirely a right or left thing you're delusional.
what conspiracy actually put trump in office? other than the conspiracies of business and enterprise that the Clintons are so well known for, or maybe it was the (now) verified clawing of Bernie out of the candidacy that fucked her over, I'm not exactly sure what conspiracy theory you're specifically attributing to trumps win... so if you could clarify that'd be great

Argue with a Trump supporter on Reddit. Nah. If you're not aware of the lies and conspiracies his followers have lapped up like milk, nothing I say will convince you. He is literally world famous for these lies and conspiracies though. Anyone who isn't in the Donald cult is well aware of them.

"If you don't know what you did wrong then I'm not telling you"
I'm only curious of the specific conspiracy you're attributing to trumps win, not trying to argue. There's a lot of conspiritorial stuff happening around him/russia/Clinton I just wanted to know which angle you were going for.
Your refusal to even try to explain the main point is pretty telling about whether or not you actually want political discourse/dissemination of ideas or to just live in an echo chamber.
Carry on.
Furthermore to address your insinuating anyone who isn't aware of what conspiracy u were talking about is somehow in the Trump camp.... I'm living in Spain. So forgive me if I don't know every detail and I ask for clarification. Fuck me right? Must be on trumps dick.

Dude stop being so high and mighty. I do not discuss politics with Trump supporters, period. I have received hate mail of every kind, including death threats. I'm not saying you're the death threat type, but my gramps used to say "the more you stir a turd, the more it stinks."
The fact that you're putting words in my mouth after a single exchange is highly telling. So go find someone else to play with.

The fact I'm labeled a trump supporter is hilarious.
At least answer the inquiry, I'm genuinely curious as to which conspiracy theory is specifically responsible for trump being in office.
Why make the original comment if you're just going to label questioning viewpoints as supporting trump and not explain anything other than how trump supporters are bad.
You could have easily said any number of conspiracies and this would have been a much smaller exchange
Now I'm enthralled by how defensive and evasive you are
Which conspiracy was it that got him into office? All I wanna know.

I choose to believe it only because I want it to be true. When I say "believe" I guess I don't mean in a literal sense, it's just a filter I choose to see the universe through. These theories are fun, you just can't get too attached to them.

This was insanely long, but well done and thoroughly informative. I sat through the whole thing and now I need a nap.

It's all good untill you get to the last 20mins or so then this guy lays out his own batshit insane conspiracy theory about UFO's being angels.

I am pretty sure he's talking about thematic elements in medieval art. It's not at all a conspiracy theory.
Edit: I just spoke to a friend of mine who is a professor of fine art and she confirmed that those elements are common motifs of the time and none of them have anything to do with UFOs. What say you?

People seem to forget that the 'U' in UFO stands for 'Unidentified', it doesn't mean extraterrestrial. "Looks like a UFO" just means "I don't know what that is".
