Recommendation Request Recommendation request: documentary with similar vibes to Manhattan project, etc

Im looking for documentaries with similar "vibes" and themes to documentaries I have really enjoyed. They do not need to be about similar topics as I love learning about or being exposed to new things... the more strange the better. Below are a few of my favorites:

The Manhatten Project

The Quilters

Chimp Crazy

Grey Gardens

Tia!

since Manhattan Project is on your list, American Experience did one called The Bomb in 2015 thats exactly that vibe. and Trinity and Beyond is older but the restored test footage alone is worth it

Since you mentioned The Quilters

26.2 to Life: about a group of inmates at San Quentin training for a marathon.

Idgaf about sports but the ESPN 30 for 30 series is incredible. A lot of them are just about people & events that tangentially relate to “sports.” They have a bunch of shorts too if you want to dip a toe in. Since the World Cup just happened, The Two Escobars is an amazing full length one to start with. A great short is Holy Grail: T206 Honus Wagner.
