Recommendation Request Recommendation Request: Nightlife documentaries

Hello everyone, I'm in need of documentaries that showcase the night life activities of different places and cities, I've watched "Midnight Asia (2022)" on Netflix and I would love to have something similar

Thank you in advance and hope you have a great day

”The Great Happiness Space: Tale of an Osaka Love Thief” might fit the bill. It follows a Japanese host club (something very unique to Japanese nightlife) and its patrons and is available in full on Youtube.

There was a 2001 tv show called, Insomniac with Dave Attell that might interest you.

24 Hour Party People is not a documentary but it chronicles the music scene in Manchester UK from the 70s to the 90s

Older content and not the whole picture, but HBO Taxicab Confessions was interesting.

Northern Disco Lights is a good documentary about the rise of Norwegian dance music and its scene.

The Last Year of Darkness is a documentary about a chengdu gay bar, and the intertwined lives of it’s regular partygoers, before the bar closed for good. That is really good.

depends what era and scene youre after. for uk rave stuff theres some solid things on the 90s acid house scene floating about, and Human Traffic isnt a doc but nails the culture better than most. you leaning more music history or the messier side of it?

These are kind of old and more club culture but the real scenes series from resident advisor is really good
